Riding Freedom

This book is written by Pam Munoz Ryan. This historical fiction book was a finalist for the California Young Reader Medal. It was the winner of Parenting Magazine's Reading Magic Award in 1998.

The main character was Charlotte, later also known as Charley. Charlotte was a girl whose parents died. She went to a boy's orphanage. She had a friend named Hayward. One day Charlotte's favorite horse Freedom died and then Hayward was adopted, so Charlotte ran away. She cut her hair and changed into boy's clothes. If you want to know more about it read the book.

I gave this book five out of five stars. I think it should get that because of her losing Freedom at the start and at the end fowls are born.

I think people who like horses will like this book because Charlotte likes horses
