Frindle

by Andrew Clements

This realistic fiction book won the Christopher Award. The main characters are Nick, Mrs. Granger and Mrs. Chatham. Nick is the kid that made up the word. Mrs Granger is Nick's Language Arts teacher. Mrs Chatham is Nicks school principal.

Nick made up a new word for pen. It was "frindle." All the kids started saying frindle at school instead of pen. Mrs Granger and the principal tried to get everyone to stop saying the word "frindle." If you want to know what happens in the end, read the book.

I would recommend this book to people of all ages because I think everyone could read this book and everyone would like it. It is a very interesting book. I would give this book five out of five stars because it is a really good book. It has a really good ending and it makes you want to keep reading.
